By the time Mariah Boyer was 13, she was making all of her own
clothes as well as those of other family members by hand. Of course she
lived in an earlier time when pioneer girls were not only sewing their
own clothes, but 150 years ago they also grew the fiber, spun the

Museum exhibit is titled 'The Holder of the Needle' and it will be
opened for the first time at the Heritage Day celebration on Saturday,
Sept. 15," said director Sandy Ellison.
"Most pioneers in Springville created their own clothing and we have a wonderful collection we are restoring and displaying at the museum. The pioneer clothing was gathered beginning in the 1920s and our generation now has the responsibility to care for it.The wholesale Nurse Costumes are not some thing that you are heading to have on often but if you have on it for once, you have to wear it for a long time."The restoration project is supported with money provided by the Utah Humanities Council in collaboration with the Utah Division of Arts & Museums' Office of Museum Services. The work is under the direction of Jaynanne Meads, a professor of historical clothing at Brigham Young University.
The plan was to remove the clothing currently on display, clean it carefully, check it for damage, and place items on new forms made from archival plastic and polyester fiber."When we opened the display cases to start the project we found there was a bug infestation so we immediately removed the newspaper from 1965 and started looking for available freezer space for the clothing," Meads said. "Fortunately I could take some to my freezer, Sandy found some space in hers, and then Ellen Clyde offered her brand new freezer.Cheap Halloween Costumes"
