As the winter chill hit in February the high street giant ran out of
women's jumpers. The Mirror has estimated the blunder lost it $5million
of sales. The chain flogged 100,000 of its popular jumpers and cardigans
¨C but boss Marc Bolland said it could have sold three times more.He
said: "We don't want to blame the weather but February, in particular,
was extremely cold and we didn't have enough knitwear."His admission
came as M&S announced general merchandise ¨C which includes clothes
and homeware ¨C dropped 2.8% in 13 weeks to the end of March. The chief
executive also predicted M&S could have sold another 20,000 in its
Autograph range.
The chain failed to estimate the popularity of new products, such as
printed blouses, and items like ballet pumps which sold 100,000 pairs,
76% more than last year.Women who are busty also fall in this category.
Extra large breasts make women uncomfortable and they have problem in
finding appropriate dresses for them. french outfit is ideal for such a figure to create a balanced look. You also find hot lingeries
in all sorts of color combinations, and you pick the one that best
complements you. The shops always have changing rooms for you to try on
different dresses, and attendants to assist you.M&S vowed to sort
out the supply problems that left it short. Mr Bolland said: "It's a
temporary thing. We were a bit under bought in some areas. We were bang
on trend but we should have more of some of our lines."One problem for
M&S, and other retailers, is that clothes are often made in the Far
East, meaning stock takes weeks to arrive. So at the moment, large women
get to look really good since many of the Cupid Vibrator
for women have been designed following the latest fashion trends.
Need a
dress for an evening dinner? You won't have to worry about anyone else
having the same girls in panty hose.
One of the biggest fears at prom is that some other girl is going to be
wearing the same dress you are, and worse yet, that she will look
better in it than you do!Responding to calls to solve the issue by
manufacturing more in the UK, Mr Bolland said it was already a
significant buyer of British clothing and material, worth $200million a
year.
Retail analyst Bethany Hocking, at Investec, said: "It's a bit of an
own goal for M&S. It's worrying key lines were not available."She
added: "What's more, the weather doesn't seem to have affected other
retailers to the same extent."Menswear, lingerie and childrenwear did
well but clothing sales overall in stores which have been open at least a
year fell by 1.9% in the last quarter. This, plus weak homeware sales,
saw group sales drop 0.7% in the 13 weeks, despite a 1% increase in its
food business.International sales fell 2% despite strong trading in
India and China and a new flagship store in Paris as it suffered in
Republic of Ireland and Greece.
